Connectivity- Conversational Card Game
Goal:
Facilitate sustainable communication and collaboration between local East Gainesville community members and Project YouthBuild students.
Approach:
I designed a series of card games to provide resources for PYB students as they establish reciprocal, respectful relationships within the larger community, particularly with elderly residents neighboring the PYB property. Designing this card game was an iterative process collaborating with PYB students and people in the neighborhood. I started with research on this topic and interviewing people about their preferences to converse with other generations. I also reviewed literature about designing for different generations, serious games, and user testing. In each step, I updated my design based on the audiences' feedback and the result of user testing sessions.
